Program Systems Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences has been founded in 1984. Basic trends of scientific research conducted at PSI include: high performance computing, parallel software systems, automation of programming, artificial intelligence, telecommunication systems, bioinformatics. PSI has been the chief executive institution of the Russia-Belarus government supercomputer SKIF program. T-Platforms and PSI formed a strategic partnership to jointly develop system cluster software and novel technologies of parallel programming. T-Platforms and PSI partnership resulted in the implementation of the T-Platforms Cluster Solutions Center project, cluster systems for SKIF program including SKIF K-500 and SKIF K-1000 featured in Top 500, ServNet service network technology and other developments. Research computing center of the M.V.Lomonosov Moscow State University has been founded in 1955 as the first computing center of Russian educational institutions. Since its foundation RCC leveraged pioneer computing systems developed in the former USSR. RCC incorporates 20 scientific research laboratories and employs over 200 research specialists. RCC today is the largest supercomputing center of the Russian educational community. Institute of Mechanics of the M.V.Lomonosov Moscow State University has been founded in 1959 and conducts scientific research in gas and fluid dynamics, mechanics, and biomechanics. The research results achieved at the Institute of Mechanics are implemented in aeronautics, space and navy systems and other industries. Joint Supercomputer Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences was founded in 1996 as a government scientific research institution. JSC is the largest academic supercomputer center in Russia, its computing resources exceed those of other large computing centers of Russia 10 times and more. The mission of JSC is providing researchers with up-to-date computation facilities, helping them leverage high performance computing to the best advantage, providing access to modern data bases, conducting research into system and applied mathematical software, and addressing the most complicated computing challenges. The United Institute of Informatics Problems of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus— the head executive institution of the government supercomputer SKIF Program of Russia and Belarus, has been founded in 1965. The institute conducts research in technical systems design automation, processing and identification of signals, images, and speech, informatics systems, input and output of video streams, high performance computing, applied mathematics, information security, bio informatics, computer networks, data bases, telemetric software, and more. The institute provides scientific research support for the implementation of high performance computing in the key industries of the Republic of Belarus. Computer Research Institute “NIIEVM” is the leading hardware and software developer in Belarus. It is also a central Internet administrator for Ministry of Belarus Industry. CRI “NIIEVM” is engaged in computer research activities more than 40 years. At present “NIIEVM” offers computers and supercomputers of any architecture (compatible with Intel, IBM, AS/400, RS6000, S/390) and various customized computer equipment, software systems and services for any application area.
